Wordle is a popular game that has been around for a while. It involves guessing a word in six attempts. Will you be able to find the right word before your last turn?
How to Play Wordle Spanish
- Enter Spanish Wordle’s official website.
- Type a word into the chart. It has to be an actual Spanish word. If you are not sure about the spelling of a word, look it up on WordReference Spanish.
- Click on Submit, and the word will be sent.
- After every attempt, the colour of the letters will change to show how close you are to finding the right word.
If a letter turns grey, as in this case, it means that it is not part of the word. In your next attempt, avoid entering words that contain this letter.
If the letter turns yellow, it means it is present in the word, but in a different position. Think of other words that contain the letter elsewhere!
If the letter appears in green, congratulations, you have guessed 20% of the hidden word!
Tips and Strategies to Master Wordle Spanish
- Start with words that have at least two vowels. Since vowels are fewer and more frequent than consonants, it’s easier to guess a word if it contains two vowels. So try with words like IDEAS or AIRE (air).
- If a letter appears in grey, it means it’s not present in the word. Much like it happens with Hangman, you have to imagine the letter is crossed out. However, if you’re stuck and you can only think of a word that contains a grey word, go ahead. You may be lucky and find new green or yellow blocks in your new attempt.
- Every time you play the game, write down the word you guessed and the number of attempts it took you to guess it. This way, you can easily identify patterns that will help you find future words quickly. Plus, at the end of the month you will have a nice Spanish vocabulary bank to help you improve your language skills!
Spanish Wordle: FAQs
Can I play more than one game per day?
Yes. While the original, English edition of Wordle was conceived as a one-game-per-day game, Spanish Wordle allows you to play as many games as you like every day.
Will Wordle remain free?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions about Spanish Wordle, and Wordle in general. Users are afraid that soon Wordle will not be free anymore, due to its popularity. Luckily, we can confirm this is not the case. There are many websites like Wordle Spanish where it is completely free to play Wordle in your target language.
Will Wordle Spanish become an app?
To date, there is no official plan to create a Wordle app, although you may find some imitators on Appstore or GooglePlay. However, most of these are filled with annoying ads. Plus, why use an imitation when you can go for the real thing?
Why has Wordle gone viral?
In the original game, there was only one word for all players for 24 hours. This meant that everyone had to guess the same word every day. As you can imagine, everyone wanted to share how long it took them to find the answer and shared the result on Twitter and other social media. If you want to replicate this fun, competitive dynamic while using Spanish Wordle, why not create a Whatsapp group and challenge friends to see who can guess the most words in a week?
